Installation into a 2015 to 2020 Ford Edge in 5 Easy Steps

Step 1: Unplug the gateway plug from the rear of the vehicle's gateway module and plug it into the T-harness, then replace the vehicle's gateway plug with the plug from the T-harness...

Step 2: Plug the blue plug from the T-harness into the blue plug on the remote starter module...

Step 3: Turn the system ON; turn the ignition ON. When the green LED on the remote start module turns OFF, turn the ignition OFF...

Step 4: Exit the vehicle. close all the vehicle's doors, and lock the doors with your vehicle's remote. Press the lock button on the remote 3 times...after the vehicle remote starts, let it test run for a minute, then unlock the vehicle's doors with the remote, enter the vehicle, and step on the brake pedal. In response the engine will shut down...

Step 5: Secure the module and T-harness up under the dash using the supplied zip ties. DONE!

Remote Starter Safety & Security Features:

• Equipped with the same OEM safety and operating restrictions as a Ford factory-installed remote starter: The system will detect any current or stored fault codes, which will prevent the remote starter from activating. If the hood is open, the transmission is not in park, the vehicle's battery voltage is too low, and the low fuel indicator will prevent the system from activating.
   
• Brake Pedal Monitoring for Safety & Security: The vehicle's steering column remains locked, and if the brake pedal is stepped on before the key-takeover procedure is performed, the engine will immediately shut down.
